Biography

Emily Farrell is the communications coordinator for the Offices of the Executive Vice President for Administration (OEVPA) and Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer (OSVP/CFO). Emily will assist with developing presentations, visual aids, and website management. Additionally, she will assist with creating and executing communication materials in support of OEVPA and OSVP/CFO priorities.

In this role, Emily will ensure the integrity of OEVPA and OSVP/CFO communications by establishing and maintaining the offices' identity, brand standards, and programs. She will create engaging visuals that convey complex information to various audiences and stakeholders to amplify further our offices’ respective commitments, vision, and strategic initiatives. Her work will focus on visibility and pulling through consistent brand standards aligned with MSU’s brand standards. She’ll also work closely with the Sustainability office, the EVPA office of DEI, and communicators within the EVPA portfolio in alignment with enterprise-wide direction, priorities, and goals.

Emily comes to us from the City of Lansing Parks and Recreation Department where she led in visual storytelling, content creation, website management, as well as design and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations with an emphasis in Advertising.
